A.K. MANAYA traces in tail-female to MONIET EL NEFOUS through MANAYA{EAO}
MANAYA'S STORY
The story begins in 1965, when the beautiful queen of Egypt, MONIET EL
NEFOUS was bred to the very expressive and handsome ALAA EL DIN.
On August 23rd of 1966, a typey, refined small filly, thence named
MANAYA{EAO} was foaled.
She carried the head of her beautiful mother, deemed a MONIET EL NEFOUS
look alike.
While gaining the scope of her father ALAA EL DIN.
MANAYA{EAO} was a Full Sister to SOUFIAN (Sire of US Top Ten National
Futurity Stallions ROFANN and EL SHALYAR).
MANAYA{EAO} was a Paternal Sister to *MAGIDAA (Dam of US National
Futurity Champion Stallion NABIEL+/).
As MANAYA{EAO} grew up, she became the last daughter of MONIET EL NEFOUS
and was retained by the EAO to serve as a broodmare next to her half
sisters MOUNA and MABROUKA, both by SID ABOUHOM.
In her lifetime, MANAYA{EAO} produced only six foals. Three were
exported, while three were retained by the EAO.
MANAYA{EAO} gave birth to her first foal in 1972. A chestnut filly named
MAKAREM{EAO} sired by masculine and bold IBN HAMAMA, a son of SID
ABOUHOM.
MAKAREM{EAO} was imported to the United States as a yearling.
In 1979, BENTWOOD FARMS acquired *MAKAREM to join their breeding band.
MAKAREM was bred to IBN MONIET EL NEFOUS, THE EGYPTIAN PRINCE, AK SHAH
MONIET, SAR IBN MONIET, MONIET EL SHARAF and PRINCE FA MONIET.
*MAKAREM was prolific, producing 14 foals in her lifetime.
In 1983, MAKAREM was bred to THE EGYPTIAN PRINCE. This mating produced
our lovely A.K. MANAYA in 1984.
